Before stamping, Exposed Aggregate was considered decorative concrete. It has taken a backseat to colored and stamped concrete over the years, but it certainly has its place. The longevity of exposed concrete is supreme as it has no surface for imperfections. Part of the “exposing” process involves washing away the surface and “exposing” the decorative rock underneath. A fresh coat of sealer every other year can keep your exposed concrete looking new for years to come! A lot of people still prefer it over the modern day “decorative” concrete as it is universal for matching landscapes and garden areas!
